Mongolia Judicial Reform Program
The JRP is a multi-faceted, multi-year program to strengthen the justice system of Mongolia. It is based on Mongolia's Strategic Plan and Action Plan for judicial reform developed by a broad range of justice system stakeholders and passed by parliament- Great Hural on May 4, 2000. These plans represent a comprehensive vision for a functional and modern justice system that strengthens democratic governance and supports a free market economy. The activities needed to achieve this vision are broad based, requiring significant systematic changes, resources, and political support from all parts of the justice system, the government, Parliament, and the private sectors.
